Database Login Guides
EBSCO databases -
Academic Search Complete, Business Search Premier, IBSS, PsycArticles, PsycInfo, PsycEXTRA, MLA, EJS E-Journals.
Recommended browsers are:
- Firefox 2.0 or higher
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
Notes:
- We strongly recommend that you use the Firefox browser which may be downloaded from http://www.mozilla.com/
- If you use Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0 it may help if you set your privacy options. To do this go to: Tools > Internet Options > Privacy ... click Sites (half way down the page). In the address of the website box add https://idp.londonexternal.ac.uk and click Allow on the right.
Logging in
1. On the Portal home page click the tab to access the Online Library. This will take you to your Online Library course gateway. Select the databases link in the resources box.
2. Select the database you want to access e.g. Academic Search Complete, from the list of databases available to you.
3. You will be taken to the Shibboleth Login page (see below). From the drop down list select UK Higher Education
4. A list of institutions will appear. Scroll down to University of London: External System and click to select.
5. You will be taken to the University of London: External System login screen.
6. Enter your portal username (User ID) in the UID box and your password and click login .
7. Select the EBSCOdatabase that you wish to use from the list, as shown below.
