Library of Congress modified.  Manuscripts and archives unclassified.

STOCK

130,000 books; 40,000 pamphlets; 100 current periodicals; 4,500 manuscripts.  Archives of the Archbishop (Registers, Modern Papers, Faculty Office, Vicar General, Court of Arches); collections of the Bishops of London (Fulham Papers), and of leading Churchmen and Bishops, including the Rev. John Newton and Bishop Bell of Chichester, and Church of England Societies.  Also early collections from Sion College, 11th century - 1850 (35,000).

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS OR STRENGTHS

All aspects of history, including political and social, but with particular emphasis on the history of the Church in England, in the American and West Indian colonies, and within the Anglican Communion.  Large collection of plans of 19th century churches.  Numerous pamphlet literature, especially on sixteenth to nineteenth century religious and political controversies, and other subjects.

ADDITIONAL FACILITIES

Photocopying and other photographic facilities available.  Film and fiche readers and printer.

Ultra violet lamp.  Watermark viewer. Tea and coffee area for readers.
