The M. S. Anderson Collection of Writings on Russia Printed Between 1526 and 1917
The University of London is pleased to announce the donation of the M. S. Anderson Collection of Writings on Russia Printed Between 1526 and 1917, thanks to the Trustees of Professor Matthew Anderson, late Professor of International History at the London School of Economics. The collection comprises printed books relating to Europe's changing awareness of Russia, of about 3,000 volumes, about a third printed before 1830, containing rare material which will have an interdisciplinary interest. The collection will be catalogued and made available to researchers in the course of the coming year. During this time a virtual exhibition on the Senate House Library web pages and displays in the Special Collections Reading Room will begin to open up the collection for scholarly research.
