Full Text Databases

Senate House Library members are able to enjoy an impressive range of databases specialising in the humanities and social sciences. All of these resources are available to anyone inside the Library (except for exhibition visitors). Many membership types also provide external access to these resources outside of the Library. Please click here for further information about membership.

Databases can be found by searching via the online Library Catalogue.

If you do not know which database contains the resource you are looking for, please visit the Collections & Gateways page. From the collection list, please click on a relevant subject. On the next page please select the 'Databases' tab. This will show the list of databases specific to that subject. Alternatively, a full list of all the databases (in alphabetical order) is available below.

Service announcements covering databases are available from here. Please click on this link to view a list of new databases under consideration, to suggest your own or to provide feedback.
