Collection overview
Collection strengths include the social, cultural and behavioural aspects of anthropology.
Geographical focus is on worldwide, although not comprehensive, coverage of anthropology.
Collection location
- Most books are located on the 7th floor.
- All anthropology items available on open access will either display the location:
- SOCIOLOGY - as they are co-located with the Sociology Collection - with the classmark prefix 3 eg SOCIOLOGY 7th Floor (3) KCU Cri, or the location
- HEALTH with the prefix 3 eg HEALTH 7th Floor (3) HB Bue
- Large books are shelved in a separate sequence - indicated by the prefix ‘f’ or ‘folio’, before the location code
- Recent issues of periodicals are on display bays in the Periodicals Room, 4th Floor. For more information on finding journals, see our journals resources page

- Some items are held in the closed access stacks. These will display the location Stack Service. Please request at the Stack Service desk on the 4th floor South Block.
